Karen Jacobsen

College of Education

Karen Jacobsen is the development officer for the Texas Tech University College of Education.

With more than 10 years of experience at Texas Tech University, Jacobsen has served as director of external relations for the College of Education and development officer for the College of Mass Communications. Before joining Texas Tech University, she was the executive director of Big Brothers and Sisters of Wichita County.

An active volunteer with with Susan G. Komen for the Cure and First Christian Church of Lubbock, Texas, Jacobsen serves as collegiate chapter advisor for the Texas Tech University chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha.

Jacobsen holds a master’s degree in education from Texas Tech University and a bachelor’s degree in education from Eastern New Mexico University.

She and her husband, Doug, have two grown sons, Tyler and Tanner.
