Rawls College of Business Building Campaign
Building on Excellence
Designed to prepare tomorrow's business leaders, the new Rawls College of Business building renews our commitment to the students of Texas Tech University with a $70 million facility designed for student-centered instruction and access to the latest marketplace technologies.
Finished with ornamental stonework and Spanish tile, the new Rawls College of Business building embraces the signature architecture of the Texas Tech campus. Alumni and university officials have supported this campaign by contributing more than $50 million to the project. Your support is needed to help raise the remaining amount in order to begin construction.
Today the Rawls College of Business stands ready to enable a new generation to realize their possibilities. Join us as we embrace the challenge of building on excellence.
Connected with Technology
Business changes at the speed of technology, and the new Rawls College of Business building is designed to keep pace. Students will be able to collaborate with classmates on campus or on the other side of the globe while remaining connected to the latest financial data and news from Wall Street.
Efficient Construction
Upon completion, the new Rawls College of Business building will be the first building on campus to apply to become LEED® certified. The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System is the nationally accepted benchmark for green buildings.
Student-Centered Spaces
Tailored for student learning, the Rawls College of Business building encourages discovery both inside the classroom and out. With a variety of configurable spaces, students will have room to showcase their business skills, collaborate on team projects and experience dynamic speakers.
"This new building will allow us to put our footprint on the business world like never before. It's time for the business college to make it's own statement. This new facility will allow us to take the quantum leap we need to make."
– Paul Horton (Management, 1972)
"More students are entering college each year. Better facilities are a must, and the college has the right idea to keep in mind exactly what is needed for these students—and the faculty as a whole—to make it all come together. This new building is so important to our future generation of business students. I'm excited that our alumni are coming together to support this exciting endeavor."
– Allen Hassenflu (Accounting, 1983)
"There will never be another [building] built like this at Texas Tech in our lifetime. This new facility will be a lasting legacy for our state and our country, as well as for the prestige of each and every one of our alumni.
"What makes a business college successful is people, and we already have that. We just need a better place to house and provide for the amazing faculty, students and staff that already make up the Rawls College of Business."
– Lance Hughes (Finance, 1983)
"This is truly one of the most important endeavors presented to us [alumni] in our lifetime. We need to all be a part of it."
– Jack Hamilton (Finance, 1968)
