Established in 1939, the Texas Tech Foundation supports and promotes all colleges, schools, programs and campuses of the Texas Tech University System.

William G. Ritter is chairman and principal of several medical ventures including surgery centers, nursing agencies and a national medical supply firm. He attended the University of Denver and the University of Texas Permian Basin.

Ritter serves as the chairman of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Permian Basin Advisory Council and serves on the board of a number of community and civic organizations.

He is married to Dana, and they have two children and five grandchildren.
