Steve Hurt
Established in 1939, the Texas Tech Foundation supports and promotes all colleges, schools, programs and campuses of the Texas Tech University System.
Steve Hurt invests in commercial real estate and is the founder and publisher of a national trade publication. He has served on the board of directors of PlainsCapital Corp., Texas Apartment Association and Market Lubbock. He is currently a member of the Texas Tech University System Chancellor’s Council and the Jerry S. Rawls College of Business Advisory Council.
Hurt graduated from Texas Tech University in 1971 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance. He and wife Debbie, a 1972 graduate of Texas Tech University, have three children, Heather, Haley and Bethany, who graduated from Texas Tech in 1998.
