F. Scott Dueser is chairman of the board of First Financial Bank, Abilene, Texas, and president and chief executive officer of First Financial Bankshares Inc.

Dueser currently serves as chairman of the Texas Tech University System Board of Regents where he is also a member of the Facilities Committee. He has twice served as a member of the Finance and Administration Committee, which he led from 2005–2007, and the Investment Advisory Committee.

In addition to serving on the Texas Tech University System Board of Regents, Dueser currently serves as a board member of the Abilene Higher Education Foundation, Hendrick Medical Center Foundation, Abilene Industrial Foundation and the American Bankers Association Bank Pac Committee. He has previously been chairman of the Texas Bankers Association, United Way of Abilene and the Abilene Industrial Foundation.

Dueser earned bachelor’s degrees in finance and accounting from Texas Tech University in 1975 and graduated from the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University in 1981. He began his career in banking during his college years, working at the First National Bank in Breckenridge, Texas, and Plains National Bank. Upon graduation from Texas Tech University, he joined First National Bank of Abilene in 1976 as a management trainee and held numerous management positions at the bank, including president and CEO.
