F. Scott Dueser
Established in 1939, the Texas Tech Foundation supports and promotes all colleges, schools, programs and campuses of the Texas Tech University System.
F. Scott Dueser is chairman of the board of First Financial Bank (formerly First National Bank of Abilene) and chairman, president and CEO of First Financial Bankshares, Inc.
Dueser began his banking career in 1971 and joined First National Bank of Abilene in 1976. He has served as chairman of the Texas Bankers Association and president of the American Institute of Banking. He served as a member of the Texas Tech University System Board of Regents from 2005 to 2009 and was chairman of the Board of Regents from 2008 to 2009. In 2006, he received the Rawls College of Business Distinguished Alumni Award from his alma mater, and in 2009, he was named Abilene’s Outstanding Citizen of the Year by the Abilene Chamber of Commerce.
Dueser received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting from Texas Tech University in 1975 and graduated from the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University in 1981.
