Jim Skinner is retired vice chairman of Neiman Marcus Group and currently serves as an independent member of the board of directors of two publically-held companies
During his time with Neiman Marcus Group, Skinner also served as chief operating officer and chief financial officer. He began his career with EY, an international professional services firm, where he held various positions, including partner. He went on to serve as CFO for two publicly-held companies prior to joining Neiman Marcus Group.
Skinner graduated from Texas Tech University in 1974 with a bachelor’s of business administration degree in accounting. He serves as vice chairman of the Rawls College of Business Advisory Council and has been named a distinguished alumnus by both the Texas Tech Alumni Association and the Rawls College of Business.
Skinner and his wife Alice reside in Dallas and have three married daughters and seven grandchildren.
