Jack Rentz is founder and chairman of Rentech Boiler Systems.
Having worked in the boiler engineering and manufacturing industry since graduation, Rentz founded and has owned his own company, Rentech Builer Systems for more than 20 years. Active in the Abilene, Texas, community, he is the current chairman of the Abilene Chamber of Commerce. He also serves on the board of the Texas Trails Council of the Boy Scouts of America, the United Way and Big Brothers Big Sisters Lone Star.
Named a Distinguished Engineer in 2011 by the Edward E. Whitacre Jr. College of Engineering at Texas Tech University, Rentz is a member of the Chancellor’s Council as well as a member of the Academy of Mechanical Engineers.
Rentz graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Texas Tech University in 1974. He and his wife, Becky, have three children, Scott, Amy and Bailey.
