Established in 1939, the Texas Tech Foundation supports and promotes all colleges, schools, programs and campuses of the Texas Tech University System.

Chairman

R. Don Cash is retired and chairman emeritus of Questar Corporation and has served on the Texas Tech Foundation board since 2002. He is currently a cattle rancher and president of a family charitable foundation.

Cash serves on the board of directors of Questar Corporation and a major subsidiary, Zions Bancorporation, as well as AEGIS Insurance Services, National Fuel Gas Company and the Ranching Heritage Association. He previously served as trustee of the Salt Lake Organizing Committee for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games.

Cash graduated from Texas Tech University in 1966 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering. He and his wife, Kay, a 1967 graduate of Texas Tech University, have one son Clay, who also graduated from Texas Tech University and works for Atmos Energy Corporation in Midland, Texas.
