David F. Thomas
Established in 1939, the Texas Tech Foundation supports and promotes all colleges, schools, programs and campuses of the Texas Tech University System.
David Thomas is owner of two Subaru dealerships in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. He is a 1983 graduate of Texas Tech with a bachelor’s degree in marketing.
Thomas has received municipal recognition as Honorary Fire Chief by Dallas Fire and Rescue for his ongoing support and donation of the use of a Subaru Forester for the Dallas Arson Squad’s K9 Unit. He has also been elected to serve on the Subaru Dealer Advisory Board and is a board member of the Dallas New Car Dealers Association.
Thomas has served as chairman of the Texas Tech Advisory Board and as past National President of the Texas Tech Alumni Association. In 1998 he was awarded the Distinguished Service Award. He remains an avid supporter of Texas Tech athletics as a “car coach,” donating the use of a car to the athletics department.
