Dr. Bryan Smitherman
Established in 1939, the Texas Tech Foundation supports and promotes all colleges, schools, programs and campuses of the Texas Tech University System.
Dr. Bryan Smitherman is an orthopedic surgeon in private practice at The Center for Orthopedic Surgery in Lubbock, Texas. Originally from McLean, Texas, he received his Bachelor of Science from Texas Tech University in 1988. He earned his medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in 1992 and completed his internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 1997.
Smitherman currently serves on the Community Advisory Board for American State Bank and is an active member of First United Methodist Church. He and his wife, Lisa, a 1982 graduate of Texas Tech, have two children.
