Barry C. Street
Barry and his wife, SuDeline, own and operate Street Community Gin. Additionally, Street raises cotton, wheat and cattle.
After graduating from Texas Tech University in 1979, Street and his wife returned to farm in the Kress community. In 1988, they purchased an independent gin. Street and his wife have continued to run this operation with the help of their children.
Street is active in his community and profession. His service to the Texas Cotton Ginner’s Association led him to be recognized as Ginner of the Year in 2015. He also served as president of Texas Independent Ginners Association. Currently, he is a board member of Kress National Bank and serves on Swisher County Farm Service Agency.
In addition to being an active leader in his church and community, Street has dedicated time to his alma mater. He served on the Texas Tech National Alumni Board of Directors from 2009 to 2019, culminating with his service as chair in 2018. Street is also a member of the Red Raider Club and Chancellor’s Council.
Street graduated from Texas Tech University with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics. Street and SuDe have three grown children, Colton, Chase and CassiDe. Each of their children are Texas Tech University graduates. They are blessed to have four grandchildren who enjoy everything Texas Tech.
