Sustaining our universities
For more than 50 years, the Chancellor's Council has enabled the universities of the Texas Tech University System to pursue ideas that shape the world.
Chancellor's Council members are part of a select group of alumni and friends who support Chancellor Robert Duncan's top priorities. Their annual membership gifts impact student lives, recognize faculty achievement and encourage excellence across our universities.
Fostering innovation and collaboration
Advancing the Texas Tech University System, the Chancellor's Council provides leadership support for Texas Tech University, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Angelo State University and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso.
Through their annual gifts, Chancellor's Council members support Chancellor Duncan's vision for innovation and collaboration across the Texas Tech University System. These crucial funds empower the system to invest in emerging growth opportunities and expand areas of excellence to benefit our universities.
A Tradition of Excellence
In 1967, the President's Council was created to give Texas Tech a way to recognize donors who played an integral role in leading the university to accomplish its highest goals. Renamed in 1996 with the establishment of the Texas Tech University System, the Chancellor's Council continues to play a vital part in creating opportunities for innovation and excellence.
Investing in student success
Chancellor's Council membership gifts support student scholarships, empowering us to recruit students who raise the academic profile of our universities and ensure that higher education remains accessible for students with financial need.
Rewarding faculty innovation
Through their giving, Chancellor's Council members also recognize faculty who excel in teaching and research. Awarded annually to faculty leading the quest for innovation in the classroom and the research laboratory, the Chancellor's Council Distinguished Teaching and Research Awards are the most prestigious honors granted to faculty across the Texas Tech University System.
This year's recipients join the ranks of individuals who have dedicated their lives to preventing disease, changed the classroom paradigm to prepare future leaders and advanced the boundaries of human knowledge.
